Pumpkin spice latte
- 1 tbsp fine pumpkin purée
- 2 ts ground cinnamon
- 1 ts ground ginger
- 1 ts ground cloves
- 1 ts nutmeg
- 1 tbsp vanilla sugar
- 250 ml milk or plant-based milk
- 1 shot of espresso
The pumpkin spice latte is a classic autumn drink found in all trendy cafés. If you can't or don't want to buy it nearby, you can also make pumpkin spice latte yourself at home.
Preparation:
Mix the cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg together. Mix one teaspoon of the spice mixture, 1 tablespoon of pumpkin purée, and the vanilla sugar together well. Add the espresso (fresh from the coffee machine or instant powder) to the pumpkin spice and stir well. Strain the spiced espresso through a fine sieve to avoid lumps.
Then pour the espresso into the cup. Froth the milk until hot. Pour the hot milk and then the milk foam onto the espresso.
Decorate the drink with a few sprinkles of the spice mixture, some cocoa, or a little cinnamon—done. Now all that's left to do is enjoy!
