Elegant and space-saving storage

Built-in appliances are increasing in popularity. The kitchen has long since advanced to become a social meeting place and status symbol. This starts with kitchen furniture and ends with the equipment. The modern kitchen should be easy to tidy up, multifunctional, and practical. ritter's built-in and foldable food slicers can disappear very easily in the kitchen drawer, they are space-saving and immediately ready to use. We offer built-in solutions for food slicers with a swivel- or foldable mechanism and as high-mount version. The built-in food slicer can be stored in the drawer providing more space on the kitchen worktop. A truly efficient kitchen built-in-system!

The portfolio of built-in appliances from ritterwerk, all of which are "made in Germany", ranges from the built-in all-purpose slicer to the built-in toaster, the built-in stick blender and the built-in pedestal vacuum cleaner.

The special features of our built-in systems

Made in Germany
We are proud that our kitchen appliances are "made in Germany" and are therefore only manufactured at the Gröbenzell site near Munich. The individual components either also come from our own production, or they are contributed by suppliers from the immediate vicinity.
Repair capability
Spare parts for the units purchased from us can often be purchased for decades to come, should a defect occur or a unit component break - either contact our customer service workshop directly or via our online shop.
Sustainability
We take special care to produce in a sustainable and resource-saving way and to make an active contribution to environmental protection. In this way, we set an example for high material fairness, a long service life and against mass production, cheap disposable goods and planned obsolescence in our products.

BUILT-IN COMBINATIONS

Making good use of drawer space

Our built-in systems are already a real attraction in every kitchen as stand-alone units. However, these miracles of space can also be combined. Depending on the drawer size, several appliances can be put together to form a built-in combination. In principle, all our built-in systems can be combined with each other, provided the internal dimensions and other installation requirements (distance between drawer bottom and top edge of worktop, sufficient space to the left or right of the drawer, etc.) in the kitchen are suitable.

Since it is difficult to answer the question of the best combination of our built-in appliances without knowing the conditions of the kitchen (finished planning), we strongly recommend consulting your kitchen planner to ensure that the appliances really fit.

MANUFACTURE

Made in Germany - since 1905

We stand out in particular because all of our household appliances - whether food slicers or peelers, our high-quality breakfast line consisting of toasters, kettles and coffee machines, our cordless hand blender or our built-in appliances - continue to be produced exclusively in Germany. “made in Germany” is firmly anchored in our business philosophy. The production of household appliances here at our facility in Gröbenzell near Munich means far more to us than just preserving and creating jobs. High quality standards, the right materials for form and use, and functional design are at the core of our business and the associated tradition of the Bauhaus movement of the 1920s.

Frequently asked questions about our built-in systems

Do you have any questions about our built-in systems? We will be pleased to answer them for you here in advance. If you are unable to find a satisfactory or complete answer to your question, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The installation of all ritter built-in appliances may be done by authorised personnel only. ritterwerk cannot be held liable for any damage/s resulting from incorrect and/or faulty installation.
All the workman actually needs in order to be able to install any of our machines is a battery screwdriver and a wood drill, a screw driver, a measuring tape and some screws. Installation itself merely requests the standard equipment workmen carry along anyway - no special tools needed and no complicated installation instructions necessary! All you really need is to work carefully and accurately - a requirement you can supply any time! Very simple and very customer-friendly installation indeed!
The built-in food slicer can be fitted in kitchen drawers that have a width of 45 cm or more and/or with a width of 50 cm or over (“-H” high-mount version). Please take note of the installation requirements: clear width of the drawer and the distance from the bottom of the drawer to the upper edge of the worktop. The precise dimensions or installation requirements are provided with the respective appliance.
In order to mount a built-in food slicer, it is necessary to comply with the following requirements: - Dimensions of the kitchen drawer + appliance - Loading capacity of the kitchen drawer (min. 30 kg) - An appropriate power supply/socket must be available - The respective design of the kitchen (handle-free, etc.) - The correct positioning of the appliance
Built-in food slicers are connected to a surface-mounted power socket at all times which must be available in or behind the rear panel at the drawer level.
When the food slicer is folded out, moving the appliance in the lengthwise direction shouldn’t be possible, i.e. the buffer screw, which is situated at the rear of the appliance, should rest against the front edge of the worktop without clearance. To adjust the food slicer, turn the buffer screw until it rests slightly against the front edge of the worktop (do not overtighten it!).
The BFS 62 from ritterwerk is available with both right-sided slicing guidance and left-sided slicing guidance. Please note that these designs are not specifically for right- or left-hand operation, but alternative designs if the food slicer is to be mounted adjacent to an angled worktop or a tall kitchen cabinet, for example.
Time-consuming preparation, tidying up and putting away in kitchen cabinet is no longer necessary with built-in appliances, as the built-in food slicers are kept in the kitchen drawer to save space. Built-in appliances are also easy to use and maintain – especially as they are protected against greasy kitchen fumes and dirt in the drawer.
Built-in food slicers are connected to a surface-mounted power socket which must be available in or behind the rear panel at the drawer level. The length of the power cord is optimised so that it hangs loosely between the rear panel of the drawer and the rear panel of the cabinet. Power cord routing is not possible due to the different designs of kitchen cabinet.
Yes, the built-in food slicer can also be fitted in an internal drawer, as long as the dimensions and, in particular, the distance between the bottom of the drawer and the top edge of the worktop are appropriate.
The built-in food slicer has to be fitted in the top drawer. To be able to cut big pieces of food without undue limitation, the base plate of the appliance has to be higher than the worktop.
Yes, the built-in food slicer can also be installed in drawers with a metal base. To do this, however, the screws supplied have to be replaced with metric screws and secured to the underside of the base panel of the drawer with nuts.
A variety of combinations are possible with our built-in appliances, as long as the internal dimensions of the drawer allow it.
If the height of the drawer isn’t sufficient, it may be possible to replace the existing wooden beam in the cabinet with a metal beam. This will give you approx. 14 mm more height in the drawer.
If the installation requirements regarding the installation dimensions and load-bearing capacity of the drawer are fulfilled, installation on a pull-out shelf is also possible.
The question of whether the existing drill holes can be used depends on the design of the kitchen as regards the worktop overhang etc. If necessary, however, the drill holes will have to be relocated.
Yes, it is possible, BUT the built-in food slicer can only be used with restrictions, because large pieces of food cannot be cut as a whole in such a way. The food would have to be cut into portions beforehand so that it doesn’t touch the oven.
Built-in appliances are sold and distributed exclusively via the kitchen furnishings industry or specialist retailers for kitchen products. The built-in appliances have to be installed by qualified personnel (kitchen fitter, joiner, etc.).
No, it isn’t possible to deactivate this mechanism. For safety reasons, the position “0” is designed as a blade cover.
The built-in food slicers have different lengths of power cord. On average, however, each power cord is roughly 90 cm in length.
The length of the power cord is optimised so that it hangs loosely between the rear panel of the drawer and the rear panel of the cabinet. This ensures that the power cord doesn’t get caught anywhere.
The built-in vacuum cleaner can be installed in the base section of a fixed piece of furniture from a base height of 10 cm. Please follow the operating instructions enclosed with the device and the installation requirements of a clear installation width > 345 mm.
Yes, the built-in vacuum cleaner can be installed in any kitchen, provided that the installation requirements are met.
Yes, the built-in vacuum cleaner can be installed in the base section of any fixed piece of furniture and any room/furniture, provided that the installation requirements are met.
Yes, it is also possible to install the built-in vacuum cleaner at a later date.
To change the vacuum cleaner bag, pull the appliance out of the base section of the furniture and open the suction chamber flap. You can now change the bag with a simple click.
The commercially available Swirl® Vacuum Cleaner Bags A07 for the built-in vacuum cleaner are available from the ritter online shop or in retail outlets.
No, the built-in vacuum cleaner comes with specialist software, and switches off automatically after approx. 60 seconds.
The built-in vacuum cleaner can clear away all dirt that has a maximum size of 12 mm within seconds.
The built-in blender can be installed in drawers with a cabinet width starting from 30 cm. The installation requirements for an internal drawer width > 145 mm must also be observed. The same applies to the requirement for an available power socket, which must be available in or behind the rear panel at the drawer level.
Appliances that are kept in drawers or cupboards always have the advantage of being practical and well protected – against dust, dirt and grease. Another advantage is that the work surface and/or kitchen worktop is always nice and clear.
The built-in hand blender is connected to a surface-mounted power socket which must be available in or behind the rear panel at the drawer level.
Power cord routing is not possible due to the different designs of kitchen cabinets. The power cord of the built-in hand blender is approx. 126 cm in length. The length of the power cord is optimised so that it hangs loosely between the rear panel of the drawer and the rear panel of the cabinet.
Yes, the charger can also be integrated into an organiser system as long as the installation requirements are met.
No, the hand blender is not suitable for the dishwasher. The hand blender is only splash-proof. The attachments are dishwasher-safe, but the blades of the knives may become blunt.
The operational life of the lithium-ion battery depends on the particular food to be processed. The battery lasts up to 20 minutes when processing liquid or creamy foods such as soups; up to 15 minutes when chopping raw vegetables or making dough.
Yes, the battery of the built-in hand blender can be replaced without any problem. If the battery becomes defective, it is not necessary to dispose of the entire hand blender, but in the interests of sustainability, a replacement battery can be ordered and replaced by the customer in a few easy steps.
Yes, the surfaces of the built-in toaster heat up. The maximum heat complies with the legal requirements, however, and is within the limits that apply to processed materials in the kitchen industry, so that it has no effect on the furniture.
During use, the temperature of the contact surfaces can be very high. Therefore, allow the toaster to cool down a little (at least 30 seconds) before folding it away.
The built-in toaster has a safety mechanism that ensures the device will be disconnected from the power when it is folded away. The possibility of a short circuit and a fire hazard are therefore excluded.
No, the built-in toaster does not need to be disconnected from the power supply every time it is folded away. The appliance remains connected to the power outlet at all times.
The power cord of the built-in toaster ET 10 is approx. 110 cm in length. The length of the power cord is optimised so that it hangs loosely between the rear panel of the drawer and the rear panel of the cabinet.
The toaster can be removed without tools for straightforward, hassle-free cleaning. To do this, all you need to do is to open the lock and the built-in toaster can then be removed.
The toasting shaft of the built-in toaster is approx. 10 cm high and approx. 25 cm in length. It is therefore suitable for large slices of sandwich toast.
The toaster is installed in the drawer to save space, so that it doesn’t take up unnecessary space on the worktop. The toaster is convenient to put away and can be pulled out and put away quickly and easily in one easy step. Another advantage of a built-in appliance is that it is protected optimally against grease and dirt.
The built-in toaster has an integrated crumb tray, which should be emptied regularly. The crumb tray can be removed when the toaster is in the upright or horizontal position. The easiest way to remove crumbs from the drawer is to use a vacuum cleaner or the built-in vacuum cleaner from ritterwerk.
The built-in toaster is connected to a surface-mounted power socket which must be available in or behind the rear panel at the drawer level.
No, the built-in toaster cannot be used on the kitchen worktop. The toaster has been developed especially for installation and operation in a drawer. The ritter product range also offers toasters that can be used on the kitchen worktop, however.
The toaster’s stainless steel housing is thermal insulated and does not get hot enough to burn one’s fingers. The frame of the toasting slot as well as the bread and roll rack, however, may not be touched - same as with all other toasters. For folding the toaster, always use the handle.
The toaster does have a safety switch which automatically switches off the toaster as soon as it is being folded, thus interrupting the electric power supply to the heating coil of the built-in toaster. In addition, a thermal safety device does prevent risk of fire.
We recommend to allow the toaster to cool off at least 30 seconds before folding and stowing it away.
The toaster housing is thermal insulated and the maximum temperatures are so low that the inner cabinet parts of the drawer will not be damaged.
For quick cleaning in between, simply use a small hand vacuum cleaner. In any case, the toaster may easily be removed from the drawer without any tools.
